The Unseen Thread:
Weaving Connections in a Disconnected World
Two heads and a joined heart work better.
Filtering Out The Noise
We’ve forgotten who Jesus is. In a world where everything happens in an instant and we expect to receive things in an instant it’s become easier to ensconce in one's own needs. Relying on singular thought as opposed to weighted facts that support, free of confirming bias. The very things that connect us - stories, shared experiences, a common goal - overlooked; replaced by get-rich-quick scams that unleash devastation.
The Jesus I’ve come to know more intimately over the past six years was and is the very antithesis of what some corners in our current zeitgeist deem as gospel.
We’ve forgotten who we are. In a world where tangible riches dominate, the value in one’s character has become intertwined with the cars they own, the picture they can get, and the steps taken to ensure that the ladder gets lifted as soon as one reaches the top.
However, there is hope. Some people that I’ve encountered so far on this 46 year journey - light workers - bring hope that leading with love is more important and still very much alive.
Going within, to come out, that is to say, filtering out the noisy distractions that keep us stuck, divided and disconnected is how we survive.
And this blog post will help you do just that. Find the way inside.
Two heads, one heart.

Love is the most important emotion and sedates stress.
Notable insights
Important lessons to take away from this blog post.
Main points:
Remember what Jesus stood for when you lose your way, or become choked by the challenges of this world.
Our emotions and experiences that elicit them make us who we are, they connect us.
Through the Law of Attraction what we put out comes back, be it positive or negative.
Tuning out the noise to find the light within is important.
What disconnects us?
There's a certain irony in that the very tools that make our world technologically advanced and life more efficient designed with the notion to connect us, are the ones that actually disconnect us.
What I call the CINS Comparing, Identifying with negative thoughts, and Not accepting your current circumstances leads to a deep dissatisfaction in life that before you know it twists into depression.
These CINS are what disconnects us from what’s real. And the social media platforms facilitate this.
The way we reconnect is simple and boils down to these strategies you can start using today that will help you reconnect and ultimately find balance to help manage stress, and usher in emotional clarity, like the breeze that cradles the face on a perfect summer day.
What Jesus Stood For:
The Prince of Peace: Jesus embodied all that is authentic, true, and love. He helped, he healed, he loved fearlessly, fostered community, believed in treating people the way he wanted to be treated, looked to His father for guidance through prayer, and connected with His father in nature by way of the Garden of Gethsemane and through meditation.
He lived in the present moment, and experienced anger in that moment and released it when he witnessed the desecration of His father’s home.
Jesus in essence:
Healed and spoke the truth
Expressed patience, kindness and love
In teaching welcomed all from valley-dwellers to mountain-top triumph
He didn’t lie, and embody deceit. He wasn’t manipulative, nor did He encourage people to be cruel to one another; while turning to say, “but I believe in my father.”
His actions and words matched. His life is a masterpiece of a blueprint to follow, as he navigated a time in which power ruled, showing us that through certain actions; kindness, being authentic, righteous, brave and still we will meet him. We need only look inside to find him.
So, when you find yourself questioning current influential narratives or become lost through the words of people who seek to exalt themselves to power, remember what Jesus stood for. Honesty, peace, patience, kindness, difference as a strength, equality not separation, prayer and meditation, and above all love. You will meet him. You need only look inside to find him.
When we understand we’re connected we’re less likely to be cruel.
2. The Power of Connection:
Emotional scars make us, not break us: Our emotions fuel how we behave and are ignited by our thoughts. Whatever we experience, love, joy, grief, anger, fear and many other emotions through an experience registers within. Each emotion brings an understanding and when we tell our story of trauma it binds people together like that of a laid rope.
But when we isolate ourselves in protection - something that a part of each of us will automatically try to do in order to protect - we unknowingly create another conundrum.
The left amygdala is steadfast in its duty to keep one safe.
Control is a behavior people adopt in order to ensure safety within their relationships and environments. Controlling people become this way through two avenues, either abuse or neglect. Life is more simple than we make it. And the simple truth often hurts, which is why one may dress it up or wrap it up in a magnificent bow of denial.
Hurt people–hurt people. People in pain who want to cause others’ pain gain satisfaction from the downfall of others’ - whether they admit it or not - otherwise, why do it? Simply put, power. And this fuel is intoxicating.
We’ve lost the ability to hear one another, and it’s imperative to find a way where we can at least agree to disagree without fista-cuffs.
Like the roots of a tree, when we’re connected it makes it easier to hear each other, and subsequently achieve a common goal. Connection fosters empathy and understanding with the notion “I get it. I’ve experienced this too. Let’s work together.”
When connected we:
Practice social empathy, and understand cognitive empathy
Embrace community which releases feel-good hormones
Encourage love not separation
When you feel your emotions and release them you are able to connect deep within. Becoming lighter, and less dense. You see the pain of others’ and want to help, not turn away in apathy. Community equals growth, comradery, and healing.
Connection to each other and Light-Source encourages the practice of love. And emotions heighten experience. Your story is powerful and somebody somewhere will heal from your experience just as you will by sharing it with others.
A great place to start is with a creative project that fosters expression.
Creating space for creativity helps you stay present and stops rumination.
Dive into a creative project because it relieves stress and stops rumination, which ultimately helps you connect. When you’re aware of intrusive thoughts they can not keep you stuck. Instead keeping you present, while providing a sense of accomplishment. Learning new things keeps your mind sharp and your memory fresh, building new neural pathways for optimal brain health.
Remember, a well-balanced self-care routine should encompass activities that nourish the following areas; the body, mind and spirit. It is imperative for overall health and well-being.
Being creative allows you to express yourself and release pent-up emotions.
3. The Law of Attraction:
What you put out comes back: For every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. The law of attraction isn’t myth, science shows us that what we put out there will come back be it positive or negative.
This is why thinking positive thoughts is so imperative. We attract what we fear so think positive thoughts. Negative energy is more dense than positive, and in a world that is dense physically not to mention energetically, negative energy packs a tremendously powerful punch. But when you’re aware of this, you can infuse positive energy into your thoughts through self-awareness. Think of how you want something to be, and feel the happiness that comes with realization.
Practicing the law of attraction:
Focus on what you want rather than what you don’t
Practice “Catch n Change”
Treat people the way you want to be treated
Treating other people the way you would like to be treated is one of the golden rules of spirituality. Kindness is free to be, and in practice causes a ripple from river to sea.
But in order for humanity to not repeat cycles of yester-year we have to heed history. A teacher and a guide.
So how do we change?
None of us are born with hatred.
By listening. We’ve lost the ability to hear one another. Without a listening dialogue there can be no change. I may not like what you have to say, and you might not like what I have to say, but listening to each perspective may bring understanding for future conversations and subsequent changes.
Learning occurs when we’re able to gain a new perspective away from a locked tunnel view, this is why learning and any tools that facilitate this is so important. Like books, people, art, music, avenues that create a path for a renewed lens. And why control is the antithesis of what it means to be free.
Being able to hear one another involves kindness. You’d be surprised what will greet you when you decide to be kind. And the best thing about kindness is that it doesn’t cost a thing. When we’re kind we can find a connection to each other that helps move us forward.
Lead with Love.
Weaving connection in a disconnected world involves making time to check in with yourself and making sure to seal out external noise. Because when you do this, you block negative influences and instead feel the light that is within that gains strength each day you commit to quiet-time. And this internal light is brighter than the sun or any idol could be.
So, what change can you make to your morning routine that will allow you time to reflect on your thoughts? If not the morning, what about at night? How can you invest in your personal development to help you find balance in life?
Our actions affect each other through an unseen thread binding us together. When we view ourselves as a whole individual strand part of a bigger whole it makes it less likely that we can be cruel to one another. Perspective.
We understand that two heads, and one heart carry more weight. Than scattered heads infused with hot topic issues that keep us away from what Christ stood for.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13
When the woes of the world choke you remember what Jesus stood for, that your emotional scars make you, they don’t break you, and what you put out, comes back.
When we stand with Christ, we cannot go wrong. Join me, because I stand with Christ.
